Here are some great ways to get your body ready for pregnancy:

1. Detox Before Pregnancy

If you?re planning to get pregnant but aren?t yet, consider detoxing before you start trying. Choose an allotment of time, maybe one to two weeks; remove processed foods, meat, dairy, caffeine, sugar, and alcohol from your diet. That way you?ll create the safest and cleanest living environment before it is even occupied.

2. Start Your Pre-Natal Vitamins

You can take these long before you actually get pregnant for an extra boost of folic acid and assurance that you?re getting all the nutrients that you need.

3. Don?t Eat or Drink Anything That You Wouldn?t Feed Your Baby

4. Find Your De-Stress Method

A friend of mine started acupuncture before and during pregnancy and found it incredibly helpful. Others do yoga and meditation. Whatever relaxes you -- dive in! A stressed out pregnant women may have anxious children.

Be extra vigilant before and during pregnancy to avoid environmental toxins which can impact fertility. Switch to non-toxic cleaners, toiletries, makeup, and laundry detergent. Filter your water using reverse osmosis. Eat fresh foods instead of canned and prepackaged foods. Avoid pesticides in your food and your home.?

6. Avoid Excessive Exercise

Over exercising can reduce fertility?by disrupting the normal flow of hormones, ovulation, and menstrual cycles. Exercise is important but try not to over do it. Consider switching your running to walking and reducing it to 30 minutes day.?

7. Involve Your Other Half

You're both in this together so it's very important to involve your other half. Making lifestyle changes should be a team effort. One Danish study of nearly 1,600 overweight men, found that those with a BMI above the normal 18.5 to 24.9 range produced less and lower quality sperm.?
